-Philippe- Posté(e) le 18 septembre 2011 Signaler Share Posté(e) le 18 septembre 2011 Samsung Galaxy S III Although he claims not to have used the device itself as it is still under development, he did hear about the specs of the device from Samsung reps and saw photos and slides of the device. So what are these specs? Well, prepare to get your mind blown. According to our friend, the Galaxy S III will have a • Quad-core 2.0GHz processor. • 1.5GB RAM, expandable memory with 32GB built-in. • 4.65-inch Super AMOLED III display developed specially for this phone with an odd 1280 x 1024 resolution, which will give it a pixel density of 352-PPI, the highest on a smartphone so far. • 10 megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p videos at 60fps. • Metal body with 9mm thickness and a 2,250mAh battery. • Built-in NFC. The device will be running on Ice Cream Sandwich with a TouchWiz 5 on top. This new version of TouchWiz will be a bit different from the current versions wherein it won't be as comprehensive and will feature only minor changes to the OS. This will allow Samsung to provide quicker software updates in the future. Samsung is planning to announce the device at MWC 2012 with a worldwide release planned sometime in mid-2012. The specifications sound very impressive but perhaps a bit too impressive. Unlike the information regarding the Nexus Prime and ICS, we will take our anonymous friend’s information with a pinch of salt this time. We especially have doubts regarding that display. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio, which is simply odd for Android. Leaving aside the budget phones with QVGA resolution, no other Android phone has a 4:3 display. We can’t even dismiss it to a type as there are also claims of pixel density being made, which only make sense with the said resolution and size. We will have to wait and see how this pans out. If we are lucky this may just turn out to be real. Hopefully the next time we hear about it, there will be some photographs of it as well. gsmarena.com Lien vers le commentaire Partager sur d’autres sites

-Philippe- Posté(e) le 11 octobre 2011 Auteur Signaler Share Posté(e) le 11 octobre 2011 Samsung Galaxy S III specs leak, 1.8GHz dual core We can expect the Samsung Galaxy S III sometime in 2012, if we are to believe what the photo below has to offer. The image in question not only tells us when, but what we can expect from the yet to be announced Samsung flagship. In a slide detailing the progression of the Galaxy S family, the III sits in the top right, and next to it a juicy specs list follows. Supposedly the Galaxy S III will bring to the table a Exynos 4212 1.8 GHz dual core (sorry not quad core just yet) processor, twinned with 2GBs of RAM. There's also a 4.6 inch Super AMOLED HD display that will provide HD resolution without the PenTile technology found in the current Samsung screens and to finish the list off, the upcoming S will supposedly have a whopping 12MP camera utilizing a W750 BSI CMOS sensor for image control. The tipster who passed all this information on also mentioned a few other goodies, such as LTE and NFC support (which will tie in nicely with Google Wallet) as well as a flat display, more in line with the Galaxy S family and not as some suspected, akin to the upcoming Nexus Prime. Interestingly enough, the S III will also apparently include the four typical Android buttons, despite a 99% certainty that it will be running the latest Ice Cream Sandwich build of Google's mobile OS. Now as a disclaimer to any leaked content we find floating about the internets, there are a number of things to increase the illegitamacy of this leak. For one, spelling errors are rife on the slide, alongside the original Galaxy S being misquoted to have run a Exynos chipset of its own. It also doesn't correlate entirely with the 4Chan specs of the Galaxy S III but there are some similarities. It's probable that we'll get a display size of around 4.6 inches, a dual core nearing the 2GHz mark, a rear camera dipping into double digit megapixels and NFC support, but beyond that don't take what we're showing here as gospel, just a taste of things to come.
