Avant même son annonce officielle, quasiment toutes les informations concernant le Xperia Z, le prochain smartphone Android haut de gamme de Sony, ont fuité. Seul le prix de l'appareil manquait encore à l'appel. Mais « l'oubli » est réparé puisqu'il vient de faire surface en Thaïlande.

D'abord connu uniquement par son nom de code « Yuga », le Sony Xperia Z a connu bon nombre de fuites ces derniers jours. À quelques jours de son annonce au CES de Las Vegas, son nom officiel, ses caractéristiques techniques flatteuses et même une photo officielle se sont déjà retrouvées sur la place publique. Pire, un site russe a même mis la main sur un prototype et publié un test de l'appareil dans la foulée.

 

Il ne manquait donc plus que le prix pour que le tableau soit complet. Et c'est précisément cette information que vient de donner le site thaïlandais SonyXP. D'après ce média, le prochain smartphone haut de gamme du constructeur japonais sera commercialisé à 19 990 Baht, ce qui correspond à environ 500 euros. Pour justifier ses dires, le site a également publié l'image que vous trouverez ci-dessous. Le smartphone qui y est représenté correspond parfaitement à l'image de presse officielle en fuite. Le prix évoqué s'avérerait très correct si la fiche technique dantesque est confirmée.

 

Pour mémoire, les caractéristiques de cet appareil Android qui a d'abord fait surface sous le nom de code C660X Yuga devraient proposer un écran de 5 pouces de résolution Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), 2 Go de mémoire vive (RAM), un chipset quadruple coeur Qualcomm et un capteur photo de 12 mégapixels. La conférence de presse de Sony se tiendra dans la nuit de lundi à mardi prochain, dans le cadre du CES de Las Vegas. Le Japonais devrait à n'en pas douter livrer les derniers détails qui manquent concernant cet Xperia Z.

The Sony Xperia Z, which was known as the Yuga until a few days ago, has leaked once again, this time in a series of images extracted from what is likely a promo video.

The new images tell us that the smartphone will feature a water resistant chassis on a "skeleton frame structure", and a 13MP Exmor RS camera accompanied by HDR photo and video capability.

The images also confirm what we already know about the device, including the 5 inch FullHD Reality display, and quad-core APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 chipset. The Z is set to ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of box.

Our earlier leak hinted at an MSRP of roughly $655 when the Z hits retail, although we expect to have full details on the Xperia Z and all other Sony devices from CES 2013 in just a few short days, so be sure to check back with us.

Vu qu'il est étanche, si il ont réussi à faire le même gabarit que l'Xperia T...

et si il ne sort pas dans longtemps je prendrais plutôt celui là au lieu du V

Just as expected, Sony's press conference at CES 2013 was indeed mostly about Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. Both leaked numerous times before and we already knew pretty much everything there was to know about them.

Sony Xperia Z

The Sony Xperia Z runs on the latest Snapdragon S4 Pro with a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone is built around a 5" LED-backlit 1080p display with Mobile Bravia 2 Engine and has a 13MP Exmor RS camera sensor capable of 1080p video recording with HDR option at its disposal.

 

 

The Xperia Z is IP57-certified for dust and water resistance. It bets on the unibody design and has a non-removable 2,330 mAh battery.

The connectivity pretty much has it all - LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and FM radio. There is a microSD slot too.

The phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is skinned with the latest version of Sony's proprietary launcher. It will hit the shelves this March, but its pricing is yet to be announced.

Sony Xperia ZL

The Xperia ZL is a smartphone pretty similar to the Xperia Z, save for the lack of IP57 certification and the slightly different design. The Xperia ZL has its front camera placed in the bottom right corner of the front panel, has a tad smaller footprint (but thicker profile) and is slightly lighter than the Xperia Z.

The rest is pretty much the same - the 5" 1080p display, the Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, the 13MP camera (though this one uses the previous generation Exmor R sensor, according to Sony's specs), the connectivity department, etc. Don't worry, the Xperia ZL also sports a microSD slot.

Just like the Xperia Z, the ZL runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and will launch this March. The pricing is yet to be revealed. The Xperia Z and ZL will be available in different markets, but Sony refused to reveal more details on that.

Yes cela fait pas mal grand, pas bien loin d'un Galaxy Note II au niveau grandeur. Mais bon le surf là-dessus doit être agréable.

j’espère qu'il vont faire exactement le même en 4,6 car il à l'air excellent niveau spécificité...Sony à tout bon cette fois ci

 

à noter que l'avant et l'arrière sont traité pour être robuste:

À quoi peut-on comparer la solidité d’un smartphone issu d’une technologie haute précision ?

À celle d’une voiture ? La coque du Xperia Z est en polyamide renforcé de fibres de verre,

le matériau utilisé comme substitut du métal dans les pièces automobiles.
