Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 go official with WP 8.1 on board

The budget-friendly Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 got unveiled alongside the Lumia 930. The duo of Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones combines colorful looks and low price tag. It also brings dual-SIM functionality to the Windows Phone platform for the first time.

Powered by Windows Phone 8.1, Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of built-in memory, and microSD card slot. The display in both models is a 4.5” FWVGA ClearBlack LCD unit covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. A 5MP main camera and full connectivity suite (Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro-USB) complete the highlights in the spec sheets of both devices.

The HSPA+ capable Nokia Lumia 630 will begin rolling out in May to a number of markets which include Europe, Asia, Russia, and China for 119€ / $159 and 129€ /$169 for the single and dual-SIM version respectively. Its LTE-capable Nokia Lumia 635 sibling will be widely available (including the United States) from July.

Le Lumia 635 a été élu meilleur rapport qualité prix selon Mobile Industry Awards 2015

 

 

Le Lumia 635 vient d’être élu « meilleur rapport qualité/prix » aux Mobile Industry Awards 2015. Il a battu le Motorola Moto G 4G (2nd génération), le Sony Xperia M2 et quelques cousins à lui comme le Lumia 530 par exemple.

Le Lumia 635 aurait épaté le jury, de par ses spécifications et fonctionnalités pour un si petit prix. Des services comme la cartographie, qui ont souvent en supplément chez la concurrence, sont livrés avec le 635 et auraient fait la différence (sur cet argument je ne suis pas tout à fait d’accord, mais je vous répète ce qui a été dit).

Bravo Nokia, Microsoft !
