Connu sous le nom de code « Hima », le HTC One (M9) semble s'être dévoilé encore un peu plus avec la fuite de nouvelles photos de la façade arrière provenant de Chine.

Le cliché publié par evleaks la semaine dernière montrait la façade avant du HTC One (M9) entraînant de nombreuses spéculations sur les éventuelles nouvelles caractéristiques du flagship du constructeur Taïwanais. Aujourd'hui, c'est au tour de la façade arrière de se dévoiler par le biais du site chinois ptt.cc qui vient de publier de nouvelles images.

Un capteur de 20,7 mégapixels pressenti

On y voit apparaître ce fameux HTC One (M9), ou plutôt sa façade arrière en version dorée. Cette nouvelle fuite n'apporte rien de nouveau, mais vient confirmer les rumeurs qui circulent autour du futur flagship du fabricant Taïwanais. On retrouve en effet le capteur carré qui est supposé être de 20,7 mégapixels, avec le flash placé juste à sa droite. Malheureusement, ces nouveaux clichés ne montrent pas la façade avant, ce qui aurait pu nous apporter plus d'informations sur le futur smartphone.

Case manufacturers have become a reliable source of intel on future smartphones, and Amazon is currently flooded with optional protection for the yet-to-be-announced HTC One (M9) flagship. Unlike the case with the Samsung Galaxy S6 where precise dimensions were stated, HTC's covers are less revealing.

HTC One (M9) cases

One thing that appears certain at this point it the lack of a dual camera, as the back of all cases sports a single large cutout for the lens and flash arrangement. That was a common theme of all previous leaks, so we can can safely assume that HTC will go with a conventional camera this time around.

While the back has been pretty much settled, a few manufacturers seem to have missed the memo on the new speakers design. Some of the models have carried over the One (M8) grille placement in the renders instead of the thin slits towards the edges, that are believed to feature in the next generation.

It's unlikely they've mass produced the wrong case, though. More realistically, companies have chosen the safe side and stuck with an official image of the predecessor, instead of breaching confidentiality agreements and revealing something ahead of launch.

HTC prépare le lancement du One (M9). L'annonce officielle est prévue en fin de semaine et nous savons déjà que ds haut-parleurs BoomSound sont au programme grâce à un nouveau teaser.

Les constructeurs rivalisent d'originalité pour attirer l'attention sur les nouveautés qu'ils présenteront au MWC. Bandes annonces à couper le souffle chez Samsung. Visuels humoristiques chez Huawei. Du côté de HTC, on fait un peu moins dans la subtilité. Le constructeur a clairement annoncé qu'il s'apprêtait à y dévoiler un nouveau One. Il revient aujourd'hui avec une courte vidéo qu'il diffuse sur Twitter pour mettre en avant l'une des améliorations à attendre, toujours sans retenue.

Des haut-parleurs BoomSound encore plus puissants

La séquence montre un petit haut-parleur étiré par des doigts abiles jusqu'à se transformer en un ghetto blaster. Pas besoin d'être particulièrement perspicace pour comprendre que le constructeur fait ici référence à sa technologie BoomSound. Elle compte parmi les atouts des One depuis 2013 et sera encore de la partie cette année, et visiblement en meilleure forme que jamais.

Les deux haut-parleurs en façade devraient donc produire un son encore plus puissant. Paradoxalement, rappelons que leurs sorties devraient être diminuées en taille puisque les quelques visuels aperçus jusqu'ici montrent qu'ils ont été intégrés de la même manière que sur la Nexus 9, soit très discrètement entre la vitre couvrant désormais toute la façade et le cadre métallique.

Le One (M9) est par ailleurs attendu avec un écran Full HD de 5", un chipset Snapdragon 810 cadencé à 2 GHz ainsi qu'un appareil photo de 20 mégapixels. Confirmation dimanche 1er mars, lors de la conférence de presse de HTC au MWC.

With just a few days left to MWC 2015 rumors are flying all over the place about the next batch of flagship devices. Samsung has definitely been stealing the spotlight with its much-anticipated Galaxy S6 and its edged variant, but HTC is also generating a lot of heat. Expectations are equally high for the HTC One (M9) handset, which is set to debut at the Barcelona venue.

 

 

Case manufacturers have been a plentiful source of renders and details of device appearance and dimensions and the One (M9) is no exception. Today brings a brand new set of cases for the yet to be announced smartphone along with a beautiful render of the device itself.

The four bumpers don't really reveal a lot about the new device, but seem to prove the camera and flash setup on the back that we have seen in previous leaks as well as the button position on the right side of the device. They are all up for preorder and will ship starting April 3, which might also give a rough indication of the phone's release.

A couple of days ago we reported on another more substantial leak for the One (M9) from an online listing. This brought a lot of new information about specs as well as device pictures in two colors. Looking at the front of these photo, alongside the Spigen renders we can't help but notice the difference camera position, but case makers are generally not provided with information outside basic dimensions and controls placements so the render is probably just an artistic decision.

 

 

As far as specs go the One (M9) should feature a 5-inch display 1080p display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage and up to 128GB microSD expansion support. Measuring 9.61 mm thick, One (M9) will run Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7. In the front is a 4MP UltraPixel camera and at the back is a 20MP camera with dual-LED flash. HTC has packed 2,900mAh battery to power this smartphone.

However, none of this has been officially confirmed by HTC yet so we will just have to wait for March 1 and see what the Taiwanese manufacturer really has in store.

In the first case, that of the HTC One M9, the information seems to be more legit, since it comes straight from a listing on Best Buy's website. That page is still up, by the way, so it's probably the real deal.

As you can see, HTC's new handset is going to cost $649.99 if you want to buy one without a two-year contract. This is the AT&T version of the device, but we have no reason to believe that pricing for other carriers will be different.
