Introduction

With the new season well under way, the LG G2 mini is trying to have the last word in the compact class just like the original did last year at the high end. With the same design as the flagship (slim bezel, rear buttons and such) and the biggest screen among the minis, LG's compact smartphone is putting its best foot forward.

 

 

But then, just like the flagship, the LG G2 mini is going after a certain competitor and not exactly keeping it a secret. The screen resolution, the chipset, the imaging skill are the same as the Galaxy S4 mini's. In other words, if anyone was hoping for something along the lines of the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, they'll be disappointed.

No, the G2 mini isn't a compact powerhouse. It's a well-rounded package still, and one that even does a couple of things better than the flagship, in hope to find a place in the crowded place where minis have to deal with ex-flagships and aggressively priced mid-rangers.

Le G2 a marqué le grand retour de LG dans l'univers de la téléphonie. Il tente aujourd'hui de rebondir sur son succès et dégaine le G2 Mini. Simple opération marketing ou véritable déclinaison du flagship ? Réponse à la fin de notre test flash.

LG a été le dernier grand constructeur à se prêter au jeu délicat de la miniaturisation. Sans doute attendait-il un véritable succès commercial sur lequel rebondir. Objectif atteint avec le G2 lancé à l'été 2013. Six mois plus tard, un G2 Mini voyait naturellement le jour. Le constructeur espère ainsi séduire les consommateurs bloqués par les dimensions de son dernier flagship.

Le G2 Mini est logiquement plus compact que son modèle, mais ce n'est pas tout. LG en a également profité pour éliminer un autre frein potentiel : le prix, fixé cette fois à 299 €. Pour ce faire, il n'a pas hésité à remplacer plusieurs composants par d'autres, plus économiques. En voici la liste :

Un design connu, ou presque

Contre toute attente, le G2 Mini réserve quelques surprises à l'extérieur. Il reprend évidemment les lignes et l'ergonomie du G2, mais s'en distingue à plusieurs niveaux. L'avant est toujours majoritairement occupé par l'écran et dépourvu de boutons, tout comme les tranches. Celles-ci accueillent port microUSB/haut-parleurs en bas et jack/transmetteur IR en haut. Les boutons de mise en marche et de volume sont donc à nouveau à l'arrière, sous l'appareil photo et son flash, mais diffèrent par leur relief plus important.

Bonjour, j'ai besoin d'un nouveau téléphone et j'hésite entre le lg g2 mini (car il a le 4g) et le wik getaway, son seul défaut selon moi est l'absence du 4g mais j'adore son design. J'aurais bien voulu le Highway 4g mais il ne fait que 16gb et est un autre budget.

 

Donc si vous pouviez me dire lequel vaut plus le coup entre le g2 mini et le getaway ou si vous connaissez d'autres avec le design du getaway et la 4g aux alentours de 200e!

Un vrai chameau ce petit G2 Mini, c'est pas rare que je fasse 5h00 d'écran.

C'est vraiment une bonne surprise surtout pour le prix qu'il m'a coûté.

Du coup je me suis pas encore beaucoup servi de mon 5S flambant neuf.
