Check out what it would look like as an actual Nokia World 2011 promo

Because this is the only thing you should be paying attention to on 26th and 27th October. Nokia World 2011.

LONDON, United Kingdom – In three weeks, we’ll be putting on our posh jeans, dusting off our jackets and deciding between the smart shoes or the ones that don’t make our feet hurt. Why? So we’re ready for two days of thrills and fun at Nokia World, the highlight of the company’s calendar each year. But what is Nokia World? Who’s it for? And what should you expect to hear from it? Read on for the details.

Nokia World is a conference and exhibition devoted to all things Nokia, taking place over two days on the 26th and 27th October. It’s been held annually since 2006 in its current form, though the roots of the event go back all the way to 1996 when the company held something called the Nokia Wireless Data Conference in Frankfurt, Germany.

The event plays host to press and other journalists; industry analysts; developers; operators; service creators and all sorts of other industry partners. It’s not really for members of the public, though. Nonetheless, we’re expecting around 3000 people through the turnstiles at London’s ExCel Centre.

If the event goes true to previous form, we’ll be introduced to some new products. Last year, the event saw the shipping announcement of the keenly anticipated Nokia N8, along with the first announcement of the Nokia E7, C7 and C6-01 smartphones, not to forget the C3-01 Touch & Type. The previous year, it was the Nokia N900, X3 and X6, as well as Nokia Money. Needless to say, we’re already itching to see what’s new this year.

Nokia World isn’t just about announcements, though. There are dozens of demos going on for new and existing devices and services; debates and speeches about new technologies and subjects close to Nokia’s heart; and developer stands will host the latest apps to make the most of your phone. The full agenda has already been posted, along with a list of everyone who’s speaking.

Naturally, the Conversations team will be on the ground in full force and bringing all the action to a browser near you. We’ll be getting the full details on anything new; seeking out the experts on every aspect of the business; and canvassing opinions and ideas from subject experts.

What are the topics you want to hear most about from our team?

Nokia Windows 8 tablet is comming ?

I’ve just watched the 3-minute interview of The Verge with Stephen Elop and noticed some untranslated clue of possibilities of future Nokia Windows 8 Tablet. Clearly, Nokia see this as an opportunity for them by diving into Windows 8 in the form of tablets. Read the translation I’ve jot down below:

Starts at 2:33 of the video:

“With the introduction of Windows 8 as you recognized of the UX of W8 is essentially supercharged version of Nokia Lumia experience that you saw on stage today. And you see the parallels of the opportunity of the commonality from a user perspective…You say wow!, this is just more than smartphones there is broader opportunity here and clearly we see that broader opportunity as well without specifically commenting on that maybe on future…”

Watch the video below:

So it’s very clear that Nokia is indeed heading to the tablet market and they really see Windows 8 as a big opportunity for them. It also noted that the experience is similar to Nokia Lumia but a supercharged version and in short in a tablet or a bigger form. A more exciting future for Nokia, right? icon smile Nokia Windows 8 Tablet Is Coming?
